  1. Hi Amit,
Your article is great tutorial for me and other users, because most of the people don’t know how to fix window 10 losing internet connection? And your tutorial is really amazing and informative. I would say you’ve done a great job with this. You’ve described each and every point clearly and simply, yet effectively too.
Thank for sharing such a precious information.

  2. I know this article is going on 3 years old, but I thought it would be worth executing all the steps to help with this issue.

Unfortunately, I still have these random disconnects and it continues to be frustrating.

I will continue to look but I have to believe there is a permanent fix for this issue, I just have to find it.

    • I started having this random disconnect issue only about a week ago, and I have tried these steps, but the issue persists. I know it’s not my internet service since my TV/Roku setup continues to stream without interruption during these events. The events seem to come in waves – things are fine for a while, and then disconnect, reconnect, disconnect, reconnect for several minutes, up to half an hour or so. Argh!

Like you, Tim, I’ll continue to look for an answer.

  3. I use Linux but my parents have Windows 10. We’re on the same network but while I can be surfing away quite happily on the same network, even restarting their machine doesn’t regain connection. The only thing that has worked so far is restarting the modem.

  4. Unfortunately these issues are because Windows is a junk operating system, and Microsoft do not care about the people who use it. We are just a way for them to make more and more money.a

I have constant issues with W10 conectivity, even over wired connection, while my Linux machines work perfectly on the exact same network.
