As of now the WhatsApp Web is browser based and works in Google Chrome only. So, Google Chrome web browser must be installed to use WhatsApp Web on your computer. According to the company, WhatsApp is coming soon for more web browsers.

WhatsApp Web is simply an extension of your phone, so all your WhatsApp messages will still live on your phone. Here’s – how to use WhatsApp on web:

Step (1): First of all, open web whatsapp in Google Chrome browser to start using WhatsApp on your desktop.

Step (2): You will be able to see a QR code. For example: a screenshot is shown below.

Important note: Before scanning the QR code, make sure that you have installed the latest version of WhatsApp on your mobile.

Step (3): Now, scan the QR code inside of WhatsApp. Since, the method to scan QR code is quite different for each OS. So, have a look on below shown screenshot.

Step (4): After the scan, the WhatsApp on your phone will be paired with the WhatsApp web client.
