Control the Visibility of Your Instagram Profile
Change your Instagram profile privacy settings to Private. When you set the privacy to private, only the users who are already on your list of followers. Starting from your account details to your list of followers and the following list is protected from strangers. Want to know how to change the privacy settings to private?
Here are the steps you need to follow,
Step 1: Firstly, open your Instagram profile from your smartphone
Step 2: Now, tap on Profile from the bar at the bottom
Step 3: Then, again tap on the Settings icon on the top right of your phone’s screen
Step 4: Now, scroll down and press the toggle beside the ‘Private Account’ option. Set the toggle to ON
Now, only the followers whom you approve can see your following list.
But if you want to protect your account details from someone who is already following you, then changing privacy settings to private will not work. So, what’s the solution? Here is what you need to do in that case:
Block The User From Your Instagram Profile
Follow the steps below,
Step 1: Firstly, open Instagram profile from your smartphone
Step 2: Then, locate the person’s profile you want to block and open that
Step 3: Now, click on the three dots at the top-right corner of your screen
Step 4: Finally, from the drop-down list tap the Block button there and then select Yes when prompted
