Step (4): From the options available under Human Interface Devices, find “HID-Compliant Touch Screen” option.

Important note: On some touch screen computers, you will find few “HID-compliant device” options in the place of “HID-Compliant Touch Screen”. In this condition, disable each “HID-compliant device” option one by one until one works.

  1. Thanks for the this post. This works great until I re-boot the computer and then the touch screen becomes enabled again. This is important as I’ve cracked my screen a bit and the touchscreen goes crazy if it’s enabled. Once disabled, the computer works fine. Thoughts?
